I would like to share some good news with you all.It is about an opportunity that has  been extended to me and my wife to form a multicultural ministry in the former Ridgedale presbyterian church.Success of this ministry will mean a lot to many people in our community and the groups that have been leasing.

It is an opportunity for whosoever wills, to share their gifts and talents with the world in this brand new Ministry. The open positions will be filled by volunteers with a possibility of becoming paid positions as the ministry grows. The ministry unofficial name is, Michiana All peoples Fellowship.(MAP) with an objective of ultimately transforming into a Multicultural  church. To be able to join, one  MUST NOT be a member of another Ministry for a period of  not less than six months. There will be exceptions based  on a case by case evaluation.

Qualifications to volunteer.A heart full of Grace for others.A yearning for a new and different kind of Ministry based on true KINDNESS,FORGIVENESS,MERCY, REASONABLE COMPASSION AND FAIRNESS.One  must be willing to accord others an opportunity to shine their light before men no matter the status(social or otherwise)size or hue.Come let us role our sleeves up and put in an honest and honorable labor in this vast vineyard.

Come as you are,no one will ever condemn you in this ministry for all deserve his wrath. It is Gods ministry and him only the judgement sit is reserved. Christ died so that we may live free and free indeed we shall live as we worship him in truth and in spirit.God helps us turn the pages in our lives everyday without fear of our past nor our future.

Christian Conferences and revivals October 7, 2008

Filed under: Religion — kimkima @ 8:40 pm

I wish you Christ presence through out the revival. Spiritual revival is vital in human life However, our brothers and sisters state of livelyhood will not be transformed solely by revivals and conferences .In my opinion we have neglected for long to incorporate the pragmatic phase that could truly impact Christian lives. Should we out of deep love and care of their physical well being issues inconjunction with prayers it could be an all rounded healthy christian family. The young men and women are doing a fantastic job. Before long they won’t be young any more, they will move on to adulthood besides spiritual blessings to be allotted sometime in the future in Heaven. Retrospectively will they have satisfaction for a youth well spent or will they look back with regret for time wasted by blindly fostering a few individuals’ selfish ambitions under the guise of religious piety. I am not implying this is the case. An all rounded vision is needed that will complement and enrich all committed Christians both here and now because that’s Gods will and promise.Gods son Jesus echoed the timeless words that, whatever we ask in his name we shall receive, which ever door we knock it shall be opened. Why do we cut our self short and in the process waste other folks lives instead of thrusting them to believe in the reality of this life, shuning superficiality and the ecstasy evoked and fed by sensational outbursts that fizzes off as fast as vapor before our own eyes Conference after conference ,Kesha after Kesha,Fellowship after Fellowship?. It is only by walking humbly in others persons shoes that we can learn to be extra sensitive with other peoples finances, time and lives. For the leaders, we are under Divine orders to feed, shephard, protect, usher social and economic prosperity to the flock under our care. We are under no orders to maul mercilessly, misuse, manipulate and abuse them.Thats why,the Boss servant impressed us upon seeking knowledge, understanding and pray for wisdom to guide our words, mind and feet. Hypothetically, if we feed Gods children with salt or sugar or any singular diet for that matter continually in the hope that it will supplement for a healthy life style,we are naive and guilty of physical and spiritual homicide. Ignorance is no defense. The book of prophet Joel reminds us the possibilities that God has spelled out for the young and the old. Take it and run with it. For man is just a vapor and Gods word is everlasting. God bless you all mightily as you strive to know and serve him. Agape love must assume primacy if we are to experience any short and long-term breakthrough in our lives here on earth.

Neema in Grief! September 29, 2008

Filed under: Story of the Day. — kimkima @ 10:36 am

Besides my father, John is a man that I will always emulate. Patient, prudence, temperance and passive fortitude are not virtues that one borrows for a day. You have to be tested and laboriously work for them. John is such a great man in that he avoided direct individual and corporate conflict. As Neema chair, we are at a physical loss but at an eternal triumph. Words are meaningless no matter how loud we exclaim and scream them out. John is my and his family’s testimony that we can live our words more than we can speak them. Glory is manifested especially when we unite our acts with our words. John’s love was unconditional. I think he took seriously what his savior had commanded him and daily expected of him. An orange regardless of color shape race, religion, denomination or nationality can only produce an orange similarly for the lemon. The trait left behind is an embodiment of John’s earthly choices that reflect a realization of deep eternal implications of our earthly actions and individual choices.

When I met John, we always exchanged exhortations irrespective of the passionate drive on hard held heated viewpoints. I always referred to him as Bwana “shairman” as who he was. I will forever retain my deep respect to him, his wife and children.

We need to learn something. Love is not a manipulation of feelings. John has always risen above triviality by embracing continuity. I mean he never dwelt on what was, but rather what is or how can we improve. I still doubt that except for another one man who happens to be a close friend of John, I can say that for any one else at the moment. That doesn’t mean all is lost we can still learn from this saint who in our midst lived as he talked, preached and sang his life out.

Ezekiel 37 and continuing was his favorite. As you read that prophecy think of the physical loss and the eternal achievement in that family in the sense that the world is passing by. A time will come when no man can work, Christ will come like a thief in the night, let us hope that he will find us working. Working for the Kingdom and not selves. That’s what John did. Deep in my heart I know he is where we wish and hope that we shall make to be. Well, we have the benefit of the privilege of time lets remember to work for that which is not bread. My almighty God in all of his goodness, love and mercy rest John’s soul in eternal peace in the newness of life. Behold he makes all things new in earnest to all who believe and have faith. Never and I say never be hoodwinked by temporal airs castigated by pride, they are just like a passing cloud. Reality subjectively commences right after the soul, body separation.

East, West, North and South comes the reminder of God’s expectations upon our lives. Individually and corporately the writing is forever on the walls of our souls. The time is never on our side as eternity is timeless. As a Christian I am at no sorrow for I am firm in my confession that Christ died so that we all can live. Obstacles and distractions in this life are always around the bend. We will never know why, but in Christ birth, life, suffering, death and resurrection lays all our answers on that cross. Disciples’ follow, not superseed. John in my humble opinion did just that, that”s why we shall see him with his white robe as revelation of John writes regardless of which side of the gulf we will occupy. Forever God is faithful let us relinquish the judgment seat it belongs to God alone. Those who are going to hell or heaven start hear and it is real as death. FAITH, HOPE, LOVE FORGIVENESS AND GRACE IS ALL WE NEED AND HAVE access to. JOHN PRACTICED exactly that IN HIS OPPORTUNE MOMENT WITH US. WOW!

Neema fellowship, members and officials in conjunction with first Presbyterian church will forever be grateful of your stewardship.

The Omar al-Bashir indictment: the ICC and the Darfur crisis July 25, 2008

In my uninformed opinion as a common man, the decision to prosecute sudan president was long over due,but quite significant,I hope that the world court would or could do the same to Mugabe and his cronies. It is high time the leaders all over the world and leaders in the OAU who are comprised and mostly are self seekers who cannot stand on the side of human dignity and common sense decency.Ironically most of them enjoy safety as they fly world wide, sleeping in world class hotels, while drugging their feet in coming to the rescue of daily horrified, terrorised human beings surrounded by death and corpses of friends, strangers and loved ones.

I hail the action of the prosecutor since he recognised of the uproar from different sectors and nationals of the world, who live in the dark ages of fear and intimidation.Every leader who does not support and welcome such a move should consciously be suspected to condon the Genocide, such silence should only be exonorated of this conscious guilty charge by their own actions and public actions or statements.

Statements and confrences are integral however, when the lives of people are in jeopardy it is irrelevant and repugnant to continue condoning this pathological killers.Swift pragmatic action and immediate sanctions, asset freezing of suspected conspiritors and perpetrators seems to be common sense step in underscoring the seriousness and world intorrerance of the cassual  approach to an encroaching canserous problem affecting human beings under rogue rigimes.
Mr .Peskin words could not  be less candid when he voiced the following sentiments, and I quote “The intended prosecution of Sudan’s head of state by the International Criminal Court is a transformative event in the history of the Darfur genocide as well as of the court”.The world should rally around the people of Sudan and the people of Zimbambwe a time when buraucracies seem to be moving in a slow motion.Every life lost is a burden to our own individual and collective conscious irespective of our faith, political, economic, social or geo ascription.

A shamefull dark day in kenyan history January 9, 2008

Filed under: Politics — kimkima @ 6:18 pm

The kenyans of goodwill in Kalamazoo michigan felt that they had to voice their sentiments on what is going on in kenya. They invited their local TV station and put forth a press conference in less than two hours.
This artical is in its original version.Let it inspire you and call you to some peaceful action for the sake of our motherland.

We as Kenyans in Diaspora feel it would be a betrayal of our fellow countrymen and family, to be silent and indifferent when the country is on the brink of a civil war. It is on these grounds that we categorically refuse to acknowledge Mr. Mwai Kibaki as the president of Kenya. Based on the knowledge that the vote tallying was not transparent and grossly fraudulent, via reports sated by the chairman of the Electoral Commission of Kenya, Samuel Kivutu, four other commissioners, and based on the observations of international observers on the ground. It has been stated by these observers that the voting and tallying process was below standards of the United Nations for free and fair elections, which Kenya as a member has pledged to.

We are calling upon the international community and all people of good will to stand with the people of Kenya in their struggle for the realization of a transparent democratic process and respect for their voice in asking President Kibaki to step down thus paving the way for calm, reconciliation, and peaceful rerunning of the presidential election under the supervision of international observers.

In light of Samuel Kivuitu’s gross disservice to Kenyan citizens, in stifling their voice for their pursuit of democracy, by his compliancy in announcing the questionable results of the election and thus disenfranchising and marginalizing the people of Kenya from the political process; we strongly urge him to do the honorable thing and step down.

The Kenyan constitution has a clause that supports peaceful assembly and freedom of expression. It is within this context we support the one million-march rally that has been f called for by the ODM leaders, and any other rallies of support or prayer vigil as a channel to reconnect with the people in order to reestablish security to the country.

We are mindful of the extreme poverty that is prevalent all over the nation, and the lack of basic and essential life-supporting services. However the deplorable outcome of the electoral process and results catapulted by the greediness of a few self-seekers hiding behind the veil of ethnicity, has plunged the country into an abyss of fear and insecurity that Kenyans have never experienced before.

We, therefore, urge all leaders to refrain from inciting and instigating the use of force and violence against innocent Kenyans. We urge, law enforcement bodies to refrain from and desist from wanton threats and intimidation of peaceful and law abiding Kenyans.Inconclusion let me reiterate the sublime words of our national anthem that evokes unity irespective of our diverse background.”JUSTICE BE OUR SHIELD AND DEFENDER,MAY WE DWELL IN UNITY PEACE AND LIBERTY”This has been our spirit may it guide our way back to vault of justice towards this election outcome.

[LATEST] Kenyan Anglicans consecrate conservative US clerics as bishopsStory by REUTERS
Publication Date: 8/30/2007

The Kenyan Anglican church has today consecrated two conservative American priests as bishops to lead US congregations who have split from the Episcopal Church over its stand on homosexuality.William Atwood and William Murdoch are among a growing number of conservative US clerics pledging allegiance to African bishops who take a tough line against homosexuality.

“As a bishop … you are to maintain the Church’s discipline, guard her faith and promote her mission in the world,” the prelate of Kenyan Anglicans, Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi, told them during a service at Nairobi’s All Saints Cathedral attended by hundreds of worshippers.

Atwood and Murdoch will be in charge of 30 congregations in the United States who have asked for leadership from Kenya.

At the service, they vowed to “serve the international interests of the Anglican Church of Kenya, to serve clergy and congregations in North America under the Kenyan jurisdiction”.

The 77 million-strong Anglican Communion has been divided since the Episcopal Church, its 2.4 million member US branch, consecrated Gene Robinson as Anglicanism’s first openly gay bishop four years ago.

The Nairobi ceremony was attended by about 10 primates from the “Global South”, made up of churches in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, who support traditional Anglicanism.

Nigerian Archbishop Peter Akinola raised a storm in May when he consecrated Martyn Minns as bishop in the Convocation of Anglicans in North America, which is linked to the Church of Nigeria, despite being asked not to by the Anglican spiritual head Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The US Church has accused Africans of invading their territory by consecrating Americans. But conservative Africans say they only want to provide refuge for orthodox believers who are at odds with liberal views.

Murdoch is rector of the All Saints Episcopal Church in West Newbury, Massachusetts, while Atwood is general secretary of the Ekklesia Society, a global group promoting orthodox Anglicanism.

“This is a missionary action brought to this point by four years of frustration,” Murdoch told reporters in Nairobi on the eve of the service.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is the spiritual head of the Communion but does not have powers equal to those of Pope Benedict in the Catholic Church. The gay clergy row has sapped his influence and brought the Communion close to schism.

The Communion is discussing proposals for a so-called Anglican Covenant that could strengthen the Archbishop of Canterbury’s authority, but opinions on it are deeply divided.

I am pastor Samuel Muiru Kamanda,I am an ordained and licenced minister with free pentecostal fellowship in kenya. I pastor a local church in a town called Gatundu 57km from the city of Nairobi. Our congregation is about one thousand members strong. We have been meeting and worshiping in an old tent , by Gods grace the church is growing powerfully. Am happy to testify that we are halfway  through  the project and obviously running out of finances. I would like to apeal  for your support in the completion of the roofing of this dream church that will eventually transform peoples lifes, preaching hope and fulfilment of Gods promise to all his people.
